BRISTOL, Va. — Comedian Ron White has a date at Hard Rock Live in Bristol next spring. The show is booked for Friday, May 7, 2027, at 8 p.m. inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and the event listing shows a presale is happening now for fans who want seats early.
White grew up in the small town of Fritch in the Texas Panhandle. Before he ever worked a club stage, he signed up with the U.S. Navy when he was 17 and spent time aboard a rescue and salvage ship in the last stretch of the Vietnam War.
His big break came in the early 2000s, when he toured as one of the founding acts of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour next to Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall and Jeff Foxworthy. That package sold out shows in more than 90 U.S. cities and took in upward of $15 million, then spun off three movies and a satellite radio program.
White has put out seven solo projects of his own on top of the tour recordings. He earned Grammy nominations for best comedy album in 2007 and again in 2014, and he has turned up on screen in films including Horrible Bosses and Sex and the City 2. He is also an author, and his book on his life in and out of trouble, with a title riffing on the right to remain silent, landed on a national best-seller list. He even took a turn as a celebrity judge on The Gong Show.
The spring date adds to a busy run at the Bristol venue. Before then, the hall hosts Twisted Sister with Sebastian Bach on Nov. 12, The Beach Boys on Nov. 13 and Wynonna Judd on Nov. 14, and a live Deal Or No Deal show follows on Nov. 21 as the casino keeps pulling national touring acts to the state line.
