The ROAR Alumni Award, now in its third year, celebrates Bristol Township graduates who have made significant impacts in various areas such as Community Impact, Volunteer Service, Humanitarian Efforts, or Business/Professional Achievement. Johnson was specifically recognized for his work in youth development, showcasing his commitment to uplifting the younger generations within the community.

Among his achievements, Johnson has successfully led four cohorts of students through the LEADU Youth Ambassadors Program. This 12-week initiative, organized by No Longer Bound Prevention and Training Services, Inc., aims to empower young individuals and foster leadership skills. In addition to this, Johnson is the founder of Freedom Neighborhood One, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing holistic community support and personal development.

Currently, Johnson serves as the Director of Counseling at Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School, where he continues to impact the lives of students. He also acts as a consultant for two group homes in the Philadelphia area, further extending his influence in supporting vulnerable youth. As a lead committee member of the annual Juneteenth celebration, an event that brings together over 1,000 attendees each year, Johnson is actively involved in promoting community pride and cultural awareness.

During his acceptance speech, Johnson highlighted the critical need for empowering youth and providing consistent support to help them realize their potential. His own educational journey began at Truman High School and progressed with an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Bucks County Community College. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Chestnut Hill College and received a master’s in clinical psychology with a concentration in trauma studies from Eastern University.

Outside of his professional achievements, Johnson resides in Bucks County with his wife, Shaneeka, and their daughters. He expressed deep gratitude to his community and family for the unwavering support they have provided throughout his journey. Johnson spoke on the importance of young people leaning into their purpose, affirming that everyone has the potential to make a difference, regardless of their background.

The ROAR Alumni Award continues to be an essential initiative for the Bristol Township School District and Bristol Cares, fostering a sense of belonging and celebrating the achievements of its graduates.
