Bristol Schools Come Together to Celebrate Tausha Hobbs’ Life

In a heartfelt gathering that radiated warmth and affection, the local community remembered Tausha Hobbs during a Celebration of Life event this past Saturday, June 29, 2024. Tausha, a beloved alumna of Sullivan Central High School, who graduated in the Class of 2001, left behind a legacy of love, creativity, and friendship that resonated deeply with everyone who knew her.

A Life Filled with Love and Passion

Tausha, aged 41, unexpectedly passed away on a bright Friday morning, leaving her family and friends in deep sorrow. Born and raised in Bristol, she was the quintessential local who embraced her community with open arms. Her enthusiasm for life was evident through her achievements and the numerous lives she touched.

After completing her high school education at Sullivan Central, Tausha pursued her dreams in the arts at Northeast State and East Tennessee State University (ETSU). Armed with a degree that reflected her passion, she worked as a marketing and creative designer at United Southeast Federal Credit Union, where her innovative ideas and vibrant spirit brightened the workplace.

A Dedicated Mother

Above all, Tausha was a dedicated mother. Her children, Amelia Mae and Sullivan Stone Campbell, meant the world to her and were undoubtedly the shining stars in her life. Friends recall Tausha’s dedication to motherhood, ensuring her children experienced joy in all of life’s little moments. It’s during these times that her radiant smile and positive energy were at their strongest.

Community Engagement and Outdoor Adventures

If there was one thing that united Tausha with her friends and family, it was her love for the outdoors. Tausha’s passion for sun, sand, and food trucks brought her to local parks and events, where she enjoyed making memories with loved ones. She cherished those sunny days spent outdoors, soaking in the beautiful surroundings and creating unforgettable moments to treasure.

A Beloved Friend

Tausha’s kindness and approachability made her a friend to all. Her uplifting and contagious smile was hard to forget, drawing people to her like moths to a flame. Through her creative endeavors and community engagement, she created an atmosphere of positivity, one that many will fondly remember. Her legacy as a friend will carry on in the hearts of those she loved and influenced.

In Loving Memory

Sadly, Tausha was preceded in death by a few of her loved ones—her father, Kenneth Hobbs; her daughter, Abigail Jo Campbell; and her paternal grandmother, Barbara Mellons. It’s during moments like this that the importance of family shines through. Surviving her are her fiancé Joey Campbell, her mother Missy Hobbs, her siblings Amanda Franklin and Stacie Simpson along with their spouses, her grandparents, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Service

The Celebration of Life service held in her honor gathered family and friends, providing them a safe space to share stories and pay homage to a truly remarkable woman. Many attendees came together at Ivy’s Place Venue in Bluff City from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, celebrating the vibrant life Tausha lived and the joy she spread.

Contributions for a Lasting Legacy

In lieu of flowers, contributions were directed to a fund established for the education of Tausha’s children, ensuring that Amelia Mae and Sullivan Stone continue to thrive in the spirit of their loving mother. This initiative at United Southeast Federal Credit Union allows the community to come together and support the future of her precious children.
