The 24th annual Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music festival is set to take place from September 19-21, 2025, in Historic Downtown Bristol, TN-VA. The festival is poised to showcase over 100 acts of live music across 12 stages, solidifying its reputation as a significant cultural event in the region.

Newly announced artists for the festival include Cosmic roots-rockers Futurebirds, GRAMMY Award-winning Jim Lauderdale, and the emerging honky tonk act Ramona & the Holy Smokes. These performers will join previously announced headliners such as The Teskey Brothers, Shane Smith & The Saints, Lukas Nelson, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, The Band Perry, Joy Oladokun, Steep Canyon Rangers, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Mountain Grass Unit.

Other notable acts that attendees can expect to see include Kaitlin Butts, Ashley Monroe, Fruition, Sister Sadie, Michael Cleveland, The Wilder Blue, Nolan Taylor, Shadowgrass, Ken Pomeroy, Theo Lawrence, The Wildmans, Jarekus Singleton, Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, Larry Keel’s Electric Larry Land, Denitia, and Chicken Wire Empire.

Festival Highlights

Produced by the nonprofit Birthplace of Country Music, the festival serves as a tribute to the legacy of the 1927 Bristol Sessions recordings, which are credited for launching the careers of several legendary country artists. This year’s festival will feature a diverse mix of genres including outlaw country, soul-tugging blues, psychedelic jam, and bluegrass.

New offerings for 2025 include late-night sets at Machiavelli’s outdoor tent and dances at the Country Music Mural Stage. Notably, Dave Eggar has been named the festival’s first Artist in Residence, enhancing the educational and interactive experience of the event.

Weekend passes are currently available for $169.99, with various payment plans and upgraded packages offered. Groups of 10 or more can take advantage of a discounted rate of $149.99, though prices will increase in June.
