BRISTOL, Tenn. — Builders of every age will get another chance to fill Bristol Motor Speedway with plastic bricks next winter. Organizers said this week that the Bristol Brick Convention will be back at the track for a second year, with the 2027 show set for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27 and 28.

The convention is a hands-on fan event built around LEGO sets and building, pitched at families and at hobbyists of all skill levels, from first-time builders to people who design their own large models.

The first Bristol edition, billed as the Twin City’s first LEGO fan convention, filled the speedway’s South Building at 151 Speedway Blvd. at the end of last winter, running from Feb. 28 to March 1. That show split each day into two ticketed sessions, one from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and another from 2 to 5 p.m., and organizers warned that time slots that sold out would have no tickets available at the door.

Part of the money from each convention goes to Creations for Charity, a nonprofit staffed entirely by volunteers. The group uses the donations to buy new LEGO sets for children in need around the world at the holidays.

House rules posted by the organizers cover a few points families ask about. Anyone age 3 or older needs a ticket, and visitors under 18 have to stay with an adult the whole time. Ticket holders can arrive and leave whenever they like inside their chosen session window.

Builders cannot bring creations from home to the show, and nothing built on site goes home either. Instead, the piles of loose bricks on the floor are broken down at the close of each day so the next round of visitors can use them again.

Ticket details and session times for the 2027 dates will come from the organizers. Families planning a trip should buy ahead rather than count on walking up, since the most popular sessions can fill.
